The London Book Fair kicks off on April 5

London Book Fair –

CAIRO – March 30, 2022: The London Book Fair will be held from April 5-7, 2022.

The number of exhibitors registered for this year’s London Book Fair reached 860, about 150 less than the last session actually held in 2019, which was attended by more than 1,000 registrants.

The fair will offer a solid program of literary and cultural events. It will also include a special program highlighting authors from Catalonia, Spain.

Of the 860 publishers, 477 exhibitors are from outside the UK, representing approximately 56 countries, in addition to 156 exhibitors from the UK and attendees from the US and Canada.

This year the book fair will see the participation of a number of distinguished large pavilions representing China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, in addition to the Sharjah pavilion representing the Emirates United Arabs.

The fair was abruptly canceled in 2020, just a week before its launch, then held as a virtual event in 2021. Now that industry members are back in London, fair organizers are planning a peak in 2022.

The London Book Fair retains many features that make it one of the leading fairs, such as the Literary Translation Centre, which will again be sponsored by AmazonCrossing and will feature over 20 sessions, with attendance ranging from 15,000 to 20,000 people.
