Selections from Robert Shetterly’s ongoing portrait series, Americans Who Tell the Truth, were exhibited at ArtRage in 2010 and 2016. His entire series (238 at the time) was exhibited at Syracuse University in 2018 He will be heading to CNY as part of a new exhibition at Cornell University and we are delighted to welcome him to ArtRage to give us an update on his work and to celebrate the recent launch of his new book, Portraits of Racial Justice which will be available for purchase for $34.95.
In honor of Armistice Day (11/11), Shetterly will also share portraits and thoughts on some truth tellers who fought for both an end to war and racial justice. Also note: due to the pandemic, we will not be holding an opening reception for our new exhibition Robin Holder: United States: the United States of Anxiety / We are in it together and this will be the first opportunity for the public to see the exhibition.
