Waterstones in Liverpool city center is hosting an exclusive launch event for Paul McCartney’s book The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present.
The Liverpool-born legend rose to fame with The Beatles, making history and leaving a legacy for the music industry that continues to this day.
The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present by Paul McCartney (£ 75) is an intimate self-portrait of one of the greatest songwriters of all time, the musician retracing his life from his childhood to the present day through the lyrics of 154 iconic songs, alongside compelling commentary and unreleased photographs, drafts and letters.

On November 1, Waterstones Liverpool will host a Celebration Party for the book launch.
Patrons are invited to join the bookstore team for an evening of Beatles-themed music, visual splendor and entertainment, leading up to the midnight release of Paul McCartney’s lyrics.
The evening will also include a performance by the world’s first Beatles group, The Bootleg Beatles, a Beatles-themed quiz and much more.
Tickets are available for £ 125 and include a copy of The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present and a gift bag. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. on November 1, 2021 and books will be distributed at midnight.
There will be an opportunity for one lucky ticket holder present that evening to win a special signed limited edition of The Lyrics worth £ 1,500.

Costumes and costumes are welcome, and there will be a prize for the most inventive costume.
