Maine Authors Publishing hosts virtual holiday book fair – Knox County Villagesoup

THOMASTON – Maine Authors Publishing is hosting its second Virtual Holiday Book Fair Wednesday through Friday, December 1-3, as a thank you for your local purchases and support for local authors during the holiday season.

All orders placed on the Maine Authors Publishing website during the Holiday Show will include free gift wrapping and the opportunity to win a Holiday Prize. Every day the 10th and 25th orders will receive a prize including a $ 25 gift certificate at one of the following bookstores: Print: A Bookstore, Sherman’s Books & Stationery, Mockingbird Books, Owl & Turtle Bookshop Café, Devaney, Doak & Garrett Booksellers, or Typography Books.

On Wednesday, December 1, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Maine Authors Publishing is hosting a live Facebook broadcast to kick off the fair. The online event features five short presentations from Geoffrey M. Cooper (“Forever;” “Bad Medicine;” “Ill Intent”), Ellen Goldsmith (“Left Foot, Right Foot”), Laurie Apgar Chandler (“Upwards;” “Through Woods & Waters”), Tina L. Moody (“The Spiritual Awakening of an Analytical Mind”), and Kathleen Murray-Allain and Mattie Rose Templeton (“The Berry Girl”). All participants who comment on a question will receive a five-book giveaway at the end of the live stream.

On Friday, December 3 at 10:30 a.m., Maine Authors Publishing is hosting its free monthly orientation course through Zoom, where attendees can learn how the publisher guides local Maine writers from written manuscript to printed books.
