James Solheim is the author of It’s Disgusting and We Ate It!, illustrated by Eric Brace. Pushed as a child by the Norwegian cuisine of his grandmothers – lefse and sandbakkels and søtsuppe (potato tortillas, sugar cookies and sweet soup) – he now speaks Norwegian with his own children and carries on his family’s traditions. But the kindness of her grandmothers is her greatest family tradition. He lives in Nebraska.
