Here’s Your Exclusive Look At Damilola Adegbite’s “RESET” Book Launch


It was a night of unbridled excitement, music and good conversation when award-winning comedian, model, entrepreneur and now author, Damilola Adegbite brought together stakeholders and comedians to launch its captivating new book titled “Reset: the mind-body approach to a new you”.

This exclusive event, held on November 21, 2021 at the Civic Center Victoria Island, Lagos, and sponsored by Moët & Chandon was hosted by a popular comedian, singer, actress and comedian, chigurl and has been honored by personalities like Mai Atafo, Ayo Makun, Nancy Isime, Laura Ikeji, Sharon Ooja, Mr Macaroni, Ini Dima-Okojie, Debbie Collins and much more.

The book, which is a self-help guide to wholeness and well-being for anyone who feels like they have been or are still being knocked down by life and needs motivation and guidance to get up or stay up, is a call to action on how to -thrive and bloom again, regardless of past adverse life experiences or current circumstances.

The packed house, captured by Haastrup Photos, revealed the artist’s creative flair and skillful ability to rally a well-meaning audience around a cause as fundamental as it is relevant in today’s society. An emotional Damilola who told how she always dressed up as a young girl and would re-enact several scenes from movies she saw because she knew she wanted to be in the profession where she would take on the role of a different character to each time, also mentioned that his father, of blessed memory, supported his dream from the start.

Reading excerpts from the book that outlined how his journey began, it was interesting to see another side to this talent. The new author who started her foundation called ‘With a soft heart‘ immediately after the birth of her child because of the compassion she felt for the mother and the child, aims, to help single mothers or fathers and their children; therefore, all proceeds from the book launch – whether buying a book or supporting the foundation in cash – will go to the foundation.

Talking points in the book include her career and previous marriage experiences which are huge turning points in her life. Settling into her new realities and rediscovering her true self, Damilola is on a constant quest for joy, fulfillment and peace.
