“Burn This City to the Ground” Book Launch | Culture & Leisure

Join us at Paperbacks and Pieces to celebrate the release of Winona native N. Daniel’s “Burn This City to the Ground” on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 12-4 p.m.

N. Daniel was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, grew up to adulthood in Winona, and cut his teeth in the Twin Cities metro. He wears the mantle of his tragic, patchwork story as if it were golden armor. If you heard rumors about him, you wouldn’t believe he was a real person, or at least not the kind and caring man who wrote two books after being committed by a court to a mental hospital. A true madman, N. writes his heart on his sleeve and does not hesitate to tell the truth, even to the detriment of his own reputation. His new book, “Burn This City to the Ground,” is a true story about the author’s time living with a quadriplegic client in downtown Minneapolis in the years leading up to and during the pandemic and riots. A reviewer commented, “Despite the disturbing view of rioting and civil disobedience suggested by the title, the tale is a calmer statement about hard work and human relationships. Author N. Daniel has written a book based on a true story that evokes a universal desire to live a meaningful and purposeful life.” N. Daniel will be selling and signing copies of his books at the event.
